How to use Colofac

Many people find that their symptoms are worst after a meal. Thus, for ideal results, you should swallow one Colofac tablet whole with water 20 minutes before each meal. Take Colofac up to 3 times per day. If your symptoms are mild, you can take Colofac less often.

Do not take more than one Colofac tablet at a time.

Do not chew the tablet, because it is coated and thus designed to break down in the gut in a controlled manner. Chewing the tablet will thus lessen the effect of Colofac. You should therefore swallow the tablet whole with water.

Colofac is suitable for adults and children over 10 years.

Colofac - Ingredients

Colofac comes in a round, white, sugar coated tablet containing Mebeverine hydrochloride 135mg. Mebeverine works by calming muscle spasms in the gut. Colofac also contains lactose, starch, povidone, talc, magnesium stearate, sucrose, gelatin, acacia and carnauba wax.

Note that because Colofac contains lactose, you should avoid taking it if you are lactose-intolerant or allergic to dairy products.
